FF 400 - FOUNDATION Certified Professional
The following topics are included (each of these topics have several subtopics with specific learning outcomes):
- Introduction of Fieldbus
- Device planning and naming (tagging)
- Differentiation between fieldbus protocols
- The ability to recognize fieldbus systems, and to discern the roadblocks to implementing them and the advantages of having them
- Installation of fieldbus segments
- Proper wiring and cabling techniques
- Device and network configurations
- Operation
- EDDL and CFF
- Maintenance, testing and troubleshooting
- Economics
This class has no prerequisites and is vendor neutral. Course fee includes course handout material and lab exercises and certification. Fee for this 5-day course is $3,950.00 per student. Discounts are available to Foundation members and groups.
The course starts on Monday at 8:00 AM and ends on Friday around 4:00 PM. Monday through Thursday, the classes will end at 5:00 PM. Small breaks will be around 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM (coffee, soft drinks, and snack will be provided.) One hour lunch break will start between 11:30 AM and noon, daily. Lunch is provided by the university.
FF 300 - FOUNDATION Certified Technical Specialist
Trine’s four-day, hands-on FOUNDATION Certified Technical Specialist program is designed for maintenance technicians, network technicians, maintenance and contract supervisors, vendor/contract service support specialists, control automation instructors and in-house trainers, as well as others who require competence to install, maintain, repair/replace and troubleshoot FOUNDATION fieldbus systems.

FF 200 - FOUNDAION Certified Support Specialist
Trine’s two-day FOUNDATION Certified Support Specialist program is intended for sales professionals, end user management, estimators, quality control specialist, reliability analysts, and plant operating staff wanting to be knowledgeable enough to communicate intelligently about FOUNDATION technology, but do not need the depth of knowledge required for other certificates.
