Project Cost - $6.6 million
Best Hall of Science is slated for a 26,000-square-foot addition. The $6.6 million project will bring seven laboratories for biology, chemistry and multipurpose laboratories to serve students in engineering, health sciences, sciences and other fields of study, 12 offices and two new group study spaces.
The Best Hall addition will be home to the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, which is being named in honor of Dr. James R. Rinker, 1958 alumnus, in recognition of his $2.5 million estate gift to support the project. Additional significant financial contributors to the building project include William and Barbara DuBois, Metal Technologies Foundation, Tom and Suella Tecco, Keith and Cindy Turner, and the estates of E. Kenneth Jung and Katherine J. Jung.
The addition is expected to open in spring 2017.
