Responsibilities +
The Wade Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering invites applications for a permanent, full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in the thermal sciences and the ability to teach a wide variety of undergraduate mechanical engineering courses including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Preference will be given to applicants having internal combustion engine expertise and the ability to teach internal combustion engine courses and labs.
Excellent English communication ability is a must. This position is a teaching position; hence, a strong commitment to teaching is required. The position requires a doctorate in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a closely related field. In lieu of tenure, the University offers term contracts from one to five years, depending on academic rank and years of service.
The department offers an ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
