Small Town, Big Excitement

No doubt you want the best of everything—a fun place to live; a safe, comfortable campus; and exciting activities nearby. Trine University’s main campus delivers just that.

Located in the northeast corner of Indiana, the small, picturesque town of Angola brings you to the heart of Northern Indiana Lakes Country where you can enjoy year-round outdoor recreation. But you’re also within an hour’s drive of interesting cities, such as Fort Wayne and South Bend, Indiana, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Outdoor fun
Pick your favorite water sport—swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing. They’re all part of the culture in Steuben County, one of the fastest growing counties in the state. Numerous lakes and wooded areas make it a natural for hiking and biking. In winter, you can zip down Pokagon State Park's refrigerated toboggan run at 35 mph.

About town
Campus is close to downtown Angola, where you can watch movies at the historic Strand or Brokaw Theatre. Join friends for dinner at various restaurants; shop for bargains at the Outlet Shoppes in Fremont. Just an hour away, you’ll find a variety of cultural events and nightlife in Fort Wayne, or great performing arts and restaurants in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Trine forges close ties to the community of Angola by inviting residents to campus for events such as the Relay for Life and the annual Community Appreciation Breakfast. Likewise, Trine students get out in the community as volunteers in local elementary schools and helping out area organizations.

City connections
Angola’s prime location sits in the middle of a handful of major metropolitan areas, all within a three-hour drive of Angola. Trine sponsors student trips to Chicago and Indianapolis. Cleveland, Detroit, and Toledo are also only three hours away.
