Explore
You’ll take classes at the Public Safety Academy of northeast Indiana to gain a wide range of knowledge about emergency and disaster situations. You’ll acquire the necessary leadership skills for emergency management professions and also take general education courses.

Experience
The emergency management core of courses stresses strategic and practical approaches to hazardous situations. The Emergency Management Capstone requires you to bring together theory and practice by working collaboratively with peers to solve simulated disasters.

Degree candidates
This degree is designed for adult students who are:

• Interested in emergency management and homeland security and are pursuing a first bachelor’s degree
• Currently working in emergency management and homeland security and want to increase their knowledge and academic credentials
• Police academy or fire training students/graduates interested in building on their training and working toward a bachelor’s degree
