As the central science, chemistry puts students at the heart of scientific discovery. Covering millions of chemical compounds and reactions, the program offers study in a variety of areas:
- Organic chemistry
- Inorganic chemistry
- Quantitative chemistry, and
- Physical chemistry
At Trine, the chemistry curriculum provides a solid foundation in chemistry fundamentals, but with the flexibility you need to delve deeper into the specific areas in which you're most interested. Small class sizes allow you to work closely with your professors in an environment that encourages you to ask questions and become engaged. You'll work in laboratories using up-to-date scientific equipment.
Chemistry majors are prepared for positions that include research in drug development, cosmetics, agrochemicals and biotechnology. Recent graduates have accepted jobs with top companies such as Dow AgroSciences, Eli Lilly and Company, and Univertical Corporation. Others continue their educations in prestigious graduate programs such as University of Nevada, Las Vegas; University of Indianapolis; and University of Southern Florida.
