AIChE National Meeting.

The Chemical Engineering Department faculty accompanied the chemical engineering seniors and a few juniors to the 2012 AIChE National Meeting in Pittsburg in November. The students attended technical sessions, and one senior made a poster presentation.

 

Plant Trips.

The freshman class recently participated in tours of the Univertical plant in Angola. 

Dr. Malefyt invited a high school chemistry class in for a visit day.  They toured labs and received helpful information about Trine University's chemical engineering program. She has also invited speakers in to talk to her freshman Intro to Engineering class about chemical engineering careers.

 

Upcoming Activities.

As the semester winds down, activities are being planned for the chemical engineering students such as the spring picnic and the senior banquet. The Engineering Design Expo is also scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, April 26. Senior design projects will be on display in Fawick Hall for current students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and community to view.
