AIChE National Meeting.

The Chemical Engineering Department faculty accompanied the chemical engineering seniors and a few juniors to the 2011 AIChE National Meeting in Minneapolis in October. The students attended technical sessions, and one senior made a poster presentation. ChE Professor Allen Hersel participated as a technical session moderator at the meeting.

 

Plant Trips.

The AIChE student society officers have been busy making plans for plant trips for ChE students this academic year. They have recently participated in tours of the Arcadia plant in Angola and Zimmer in Warsaw. The senior class toured the Anderson Development plant recently.

 

Upcoming Activities.

As the semester winds down, activities are being planned for the chemical engineering students such as the spring picnic and the senior banquet. The Engineering Design Expo is also scheduled for the afternoon of April 27. Senior design projects will be on display in Fawick Hall for current students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and community to view.
