What to Expect
You’ve heard the phrase “listen and learn.” That’s only part of the equation at Trine University. We focus on learning through activity. Professors will get you out of your seat and involved in hands-on learning, offering the practical preparation you need to pursue the career of your dreams.
At Trine, you can expect to participate. That’s what we do, whether we’re in class or enjoying down time. Who doesn’t like free movies or Midnight Breakfast? You’ll find great opportunities to get involved and stay active. With 1,930 students, Trine is about community, meeting new friends, and learning to lead—whether you take part in campus-wide events such as Bingo for Books, choose from 60 student organizations, or play intercollegiate sports.
We offer some of the best apartment-style living you’ll find at any university. And our small community of Angola is set in the “County of 101 Lakes,” where you can swim, water ski, fish, bike, and sled in an amazing vacation
hotspot. We’ll even take you to nearby Chicago and Indianapolis for Trine-sponsored city excursions. You’ll get to dig into real-life work experiences through internships and co-ops. Trine is more than a place to study, it’s a place where you will experience the transformation of a lifetime.
At Trine, we’re not only experts at teaching, our faculty bring on-the-job experience from their fields of expertise into our classrooms. Our student-faculty ratio of 15:1 makes one-on-one interaction with your instructors possible.
Our student body of 1,930 are serious and hardworking. You’ll join students from all over the country and international students who thrive in a challenging academic environment but also apply themselves outside the classroom. They’re involved in varsity and intramural sports, student organizations, outdoor recreation in Steuben County, co-ops, internships, and more.
