Where are they now?
On the road or in the office, TSU graduate Kristen (Fadely) Lopshire, BSBA 2003 has found success in sales.
She began her business career with Enterprise Rent–A–Car in Fort Wayne, Ind., working up from trainee to branch manager in her four years with the company. In a job that involved over eight hours of washing cars, picking up customers, selling products, managing the branch and providing customer service, all in a business suit, she learned and thrived. A promotion to remarketing supervisor moved her to Indianapolis, where she marketed ERAC′s used cars to auto dealerships.
She then landed her present job as Internet recruitment consultant with Monster.com in Indianapolis. She serves the Missouri and Wisconsin sales territory from the inside, selling Monster′s products to businesses to assist them with recruiting. "This is very different from my last job, and there are times that I miss the face–to–face interaction with customers, but it′s also nice not traveling and wasting time on the road," she said.
On June 7, 2008 at the Indiana State Museum in downtown Indianapolis, she married 2004 TSU graduate Greg Lopshire. They reside on the northeast side of the city.
She was active in Phi Sigma, Delta Mu Delta, Alpha Kappa and Skull and Bones at TSU. "Even though it was a small school, I always run into people that graduated from there or knew someone who went there. The phrase, ′It′s a small world′ was true as a TSU student and it still is, even living in Indianapolis," she said.
She enjoys staying in touch with her alma mater. "Through social networking sites like Facebook and Linked In, I like to stay up to date with what′s going on with campus these days. The school has changed so much, but I′m still proud to say I went there," she said.
Kristin and her husband Greg will co–host an alumni mix and mingle event on Sept. 10 at Dave & Buster′s in Castleton.
