Tri-State University’s Black and White Scholarship Gala Feb. 16 in Ketner Sports Center shattered all previous giving records for the event by garnering nearly $80,000 for TSU student scholarships.

Sen. Dennis Kruse, R-Auburn, called the live auction, and dignitaries in attendance included Rep. Dick Dodge, R-Pleasant Lake, and TSU Board of Trustees and Alumni Board of Governors members. TSU President Earl Brooks II and his wife, Melanie, joined co-hosts Drs. Ralph and Sheri Trine in welcoming guests. TSU’s Bon Appetit provided dinner, and Hillsdale College Contemporary Jazz Band performed dance music.
