Tradition, future linked at Homecoming TSU grads pave the path for a stronger future Two hundred twenty-four TSU graduates set a new course for their lives by earning diplomas at commencement Saturday, May 3 in Hershey Hall. TSU President Earl Brooks II congratulated the graduates and welcomed their families and friends before introducing the dignitaries sharing the stage with him. Those included the TSU Board of Trustees and guest speaker John Mutz, Lumina Foundation for Education Chairman and former Indiana lieutenant governor. Top graduates included Robert B. Stewart Award winner Karl Gast, honored as the outstanding senior; Robert Greim Award winner Matthew Eby, outstanding male scholar-athlete; Shari Coons Award winner Amanda Steiner, outstanding female scholar-athlete; Ketner School of Business Outstanding Senior Gregory Goudeseune; and Jannen Renaissance Scholar Jonathan Wicks, for his demonstration of interest and accomplishments consistent with Renaissance ideals.
