| June/July 2009 > Home | Meet me at the ARC!Trine students will experience the excitement of the newest improvement to their campus in the fall. The Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC) will open its doors to members of Trine sports and intramurals teams, along with the entire student population. The huge complex connected to Hershey Hall will enhance Trine′s track and field program immensely through its 200–meter indoor track. The size and quality of the track and surrounding arena will make it viable as a facility to host regional and national track competitions. Protection from the weather and modern training facilities will give Trine performers the edge by extending their training seasons. The softball, baseball, and tennis teams will also benefit from practice areas of their own, with resources to enhance their performances year–round. Intramurals players will also use the space for their leagues and competitions, while the entire student body will enjoy the recreation center as a meeting place or for watching games and practices.   |
