| August/September 2009 > Home | Focused FacultySome Trine faculty members have recently reached significant career milestones.Dr. Susan Lantz has been named chair of the Wade Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in the Allen School of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Randi Barr in the Department of Communication in the Jannen School of Arts & Sciences completed all requirements and published her dissertation in June. Her doctoral degree was conferred on June 30. Assistant professor Dr. Will Lindquist in the Allen School′s Reiners Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering earned accredited professional status with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) this summer. Dr. Lindquist will use the certification to strengthen the department′s materials course, which he will teach this fall. The U.S. Green Building Council′s LEED rating system is applied as a voluntary, consensus–based national standard used to design high–performance sustainable buildings.
