Summer Camps

Trine summer camps experienced growth and a lot of enthusiasm from children interested in summer learning programs. LEGO Camp at Trine North in Angola nearly doubled the number of campers after its debut last year. The family of one alumnus centered a vacation around the camp, booking lodging in the campus villas, said Trine Technology Center Program Director Wayne Mortorff. He is seeking a subject in science and engineering as a camp theme for the 14-18 age bracket next year. Alumni with camp ideas can contact him at 260.624.2420, Ext. 101. A summer art camp generated some interest, and Bolting into Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) Camp filled to capacity. The camp introduces children in elementary and middle school to engineering concepts early so that those interested in a career in the field can take preparatory courses before college.
