2011 Season in review
The cross country team hosted the MIAA Jamboree for the first time in five years at the Zollner Golf Course at the end of September. The men placed sixth while the women were eighth at the event. The MIAA Championship meet was hosted by Alma College where the men’s team finished sixth for the second straight season and the women also placed eighth for the fourth straight year. The team’s closed out their season at the NCAA regional meet at Oberlin College. The men’s team improved five places from a year ago to finish 22nd, ahead of both Adrian and Alma who beat them at the MIAA Championship. Trine was led by junior Matt Burgess had the top overall finish of the Thunder placing 50th at the regional meet. The women’s squad moved up three spots from the regional preview meet to finish 30th led by Junior Sannie Anderson
