2011 Season in Review

The Thunder started their season on fire as they equaled their win total from a season ago just seven games into the season. The Thunder women’s soccer team earned their first MIAA conference win since 2004 when they beat Albion College 1-0 in September. Since becoming an NCAA member in 2004, Trine has never amassed more than a single conference win in a season. The Thunder were finally able to breakthrough against their MIAA competition this season as all three wins came against different schools. The five total wins is the most for a Trine women’s soccer team since the 2003 squad (the final team played under NAIA scholarship rules) collected eight victories.

Jen Wall was named to the All-MIAA Second Team. Wall, a senior, is just the second player in program history to be named All-MIAA. Wall also earned MIAA Player of the Week honors twice and forward Kristin Elliott was honored in the final week of the season.
