A Celtic-themed concert featuring the Trine University Wind Ensemble, Four-Thirty Jazz Band, and Men's Choir will take place at 4 p.m. St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17, Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, Mich.
The Wind Ensemble, directed by Mark Kays, chair of the Department of Music, will perform "Celtic Music of the Cinema," including the following selections: "Dartmoor, 1912" from "War Horse," as well as selections from the movies "Braveheart," "How to Train Your Dragon" and "The Lord of the Rings."
Trine's Four-Thirty Jazz Band, directed by Christopher Lizak, D.M.A., will perform selections from swing to funk.
Trine University Men's Choir, directed by Monica Vernot, director of Vocal Music, will present "Far Over the Misty Mountains," from "The Hobbit" by Howard Shore and arranged by Kays.
Tibbits Opera House is located at 14 S. Hanchett St., Coldwater, Mich.
Admission is free.
