Tau Kappa Epsilon

Tau Kappa Epsilon

Founded in 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon is the world’s largest social fraternity with over 250,000 initiated members since founding and more than 274 active chapters and colonies located throughout the United States and Canada.

Tau Kappa Epsilon is in the business of building better men who reflect highly on their family, school, community, and our fraternity.

I am proud to be a TKE. For me, TKE has not only been an enjoyable association, but a meaningful aspect of my life. — Ronald Reagan.

Men such as NFL founder George Halas, entrepreneurs Charles Walgreen & Conrad Hilton, entertainers Elvis Presley and Merv Griffin, major corporate CEOs Howard Schultz (Starbucks) & Bob Nardelli (Home Depot) and countless others have proudly worn the badge of TKE in history and built the largest Alumni base of employers that return to their home chapters for life.

The Beta–Epsilon Chapter at Trine University was founded in 1947. Since that time more than 700 men have been affiliated with this local chapter. TKE at Trine University prides itself on a consolidated, 10 day, hazing free new member program. Additionally TKE at Trine University hosts several philanthropic events each year and has donated thousands of dollars to local and national charities.

The fraternity has established a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association to donate its fun–-raising proceeds to the association’s Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Institute, which was established by the Reagan family to advance research into the disease. TKE at Trine University also donates money every year to Turning Point Homeless Shelter.
