Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Trine University is a small, private institution located in the beautiful lake resort region of northeastern Indiana. The mission of the University is to provide productive, work-ready graduates to industry. High quality teaching is our first priority and a normal course load is twelve to fourteen credit hours per semester. Faculty members are expected to engage in professional development activities and develop/maintainappropriate industrial contacts.
The Department of Mathematics & Informatics invites applications for a permanent, full-time faculty position.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach a wide variety of undergraduate mathematics courses including entry-level courses in algebra and trigonometry. Preference will be given to applicants having previous teaching experience. Excellent English communication ability is a must. A strong commitment to teaching is required.
Education and/or Experience
The position prefers a doctorate in mathematics or a closely related field. Preference will be given to those candidates who have demonstrated teaching experience and whose qualifications most closely match the teaching and development needs within the department.

The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. In lieu of tenure, the University offers term contracts from one to five years, depending on academic rank and years of service.
