Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Opportunity

The Department of Criminal Justice, Psychology and Social Sciences of Trine University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position.   The primary responsibilities of this position are teaching upper level and introductory psychology courses as well as forensic psychology.  Other duties include curriculum development, internship supervision, academic advising of students and participation on university committees.

Education and/or Experience

A Ph.D./Psy.D. or MS/MA degree in psychology or closely related field with teaching experience is required (with preference being given to the candidate holding a Ph.D./Psy.D.).  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate superior teaching ability, and a strong commitment to working with undergraduates.

The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. In lieu of tenure, the University offers term contracts from one to five years, depending on academic rank and years of service.
