Assistant/Associate Professor of Sport Management
The Ketner School of Business invites applications for a full-time position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The department offers a growing Sport Management degree program placing graduates at Professional and Minor League Franchises. It is an exciting time to become a faculty member with the Ketner School of Business. Planned for the fall of 2015, the newly renovated Ford Building will house the school. Our recent merging with the Allen School of Engineering will offer additional opportunities for our students to provide innovative solutions for the problems addressing organizations in the 21st century. Continued opportunities with Innovation One will also help prepare our students for their careers.
The ideal candidate will have industry experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching. The candidate must have the ability to teach a wide variety of undergraduate Sport Management courses along with either Marketing or Management courses to support the growth of the Ketner School of Business.
With our Sport Management students earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, strong business acumen is required.
Education and/or Experience
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Sport Management, Business Administration or a closely related field. A BSBA/BS with a Sport Management major is desirable for candidates without a Sport Management focused Master’s Degree. Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. in Business/Sport Management.
