The Opportunity

Trine University seeks highly a motivated, energetic, and personable staff member to assist in the recruitment of new students and serve as the coordinator of specific campus visit and recruitment related programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


The Asst. Director of Admission develops, implements, and manages all group and individual campus visitation programs (e.g. open houses, Scholarship Days, special visits, etc.). This includes the coordination of all faculty, staff and current students in support of this effort. It also includes the supervision and training of a student tour guide cadre, and one or two student interns to assist with campus visit programming.  Annually, the Asst. Director is responsible for providing the Dean with a comprehensive marketing plan to recruit new students, which thoroughly analyzes and assesses Western and Eastern States markets and concludes with the counselor’s realistic and “stretch” goal projections; including prospective student telecounseling, presentations on the University and financial aid, coverage of college fair programs, applicant follow up, etc.  The Asst. Director has responsibility for assisting the VP in planning, implementation and evaluation of all programs and efforts, which seek to enroll an academically talented and culturally diverse student body.  Other duties as assigned by the VP of Admissions.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and two or more years of successful admission or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have an appreciation for the value of a pre-professional and sciences education, a valid driver’s license, enthusiasm for and ability to do significant traveling, experience and skill working with computers and software programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jenzebar/EX, etc.), and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
