Executive Director of Marketing & Communication
The Office of Enrollment Management, Marketing & Communications seeks a qualified marketing and communications professional to fill the position of Executive Director of Marketing and Communications position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the V.P. for Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications. The executive director’s primary responsibility is to lead efforts in marketing, communications and public relations for the University. The individual in this position is responsible for developing and implementing integrated strategies and marketing communication plans that emphasize Trine’s unique brand by enhancing the university’s visibility, viability, and vibrancy in alignment with the Strategic Plan. The executive director will be a collaborative leader in planning and supporting the recruitment, retention and fundraising efforts by campus professionals in Enrollment Management, Alumni & Advancement, Academics, Athletics and Student Services. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have an appreciation for the value of a comprehensive, pre-professional, engineering and sciences education offered at Trine University. Must be a creative manager who can demonstrate familiarity and experience with developing a brand identity, product development, optimizing social media platforms and analytics, data research, videography, online marketing, multimedia advertising, web development and have exceptional writing abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
Essential to have leadership skills and experience to lead, manage and coach a diverse team that includes those with creative abilities.
A valid driver’s license, ability to travel, experience and skill working with computers and software programs, and the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required, and a graduate degree in a related higher education administration field is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked for five or more years in a college/university environment.
