The School of Professional Studies at Trine University in Angola, Ind. seeks a highly qualified, experienced, and successful chief enrollment officer to fill its Assistant Vice President for Enrollment, School of Professional Studies (AVPSPS) position. Working with the enrollment staff of Trine’s School of Professional Studies (SPS), and reporting to the Senior Vice President, the AVPSPS is responsible for the successful development and implementation of a comprehensive, strategic, systematic, and data-driven enrollment and marketing plan designed to reach student enrollment goals each year at each of its eight education centers in Indiana and Michigan.
The Assistant Vice President for Enrollment, School of Professional Studies will join Trine University at an exciting time of extraordinary enrollment growth and progress. As the chief enrollment officer for the School of Professional Studies, the AVPSPS will play a significant role in facilitating growth in Trine’s adult undergraduate and graduate enrollments at the various education centers, as well as perpetuating its distinctive brand in the adult marketplace.
The School of Professional Studies is for non-traditional, working adult learners seeking degree options in the classroom or online - or by a combination of the two. SPS is designed to provide quality, continuous higher education learning opportunities for these adults who want to advance their careers and keep pace with the growing complexities of today’s career environment. Approximately 675 students, or 20% of Trine’s total student body, are enrolled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The AVPSPS is responsible for day-to-day enrollment operations with a proactive orientation to staff development and customer service excellence for students that complements and serves the academic mission of Trine University and supports a diverse student body that persists, succeeds and graduates. S/he is responsible for working closely with each education center’s staff in marketing, recruitment and retention strategies. The AVPSPS is responsible for developing marketing strategies, lead generation efforts, and for leadership and management of the enrollment team. S/he also assists in evaluating the launch of possible new education centers.
The AVPSPS must demonstrate and implement best practices in adult recruitment, business-to-business recruitment, comprehensive marketing strategies, and effective/efficient enrollment procedures. S/he will be a person of character, drive, and integrity. S/he will be a leader who can work both autonomously and as a member of a tightly knit team. S/he will have a deep understanding of and commitment to the value of the inherent mission of all higher education institutions. The AVPSPS will be dedicated to the mission, vision, values, and goals of Trine University and to strengthening the institution’s relationship with the internal and external community. S/he will have a thorough understanding of contemporary adult undergraduate and graduate enrollment management. He or she will be an effective planner and provide evidence of excellent organization and management skills. The AVPSPS will be highly personable, energetic, goal-oriented, ambitious, and success-driven. S/he will possess a diversity of on-campus experiences and be a leader, coach, teacher, and team builder. The AVPSPS will travel frequently and extensively to the SPS education centers in central and northern Indiana as well as southern Michigan.
Education and/or Experience
A Master's Degree from an accredited college in an enrollment, business, management, marketing or related field is required (equivalent of enrollment, marketing, and administrative experience may also be acceptable). A minimum five years of higher education adult enrollment leadership experience is required with a proven track record of adult enrollment growth, student retention increases, strategic and effective marketing implementation, and effective staff training and supervision.
