"Invest in Excellence" Capital Campaign
The Invest in Excellence Capital Campaign will play a significant role in the future success of Trine University and will aid us in fulfilling our mission to prepare students to succeed, lead and serve. This $75 million campaign will allow us to continue the momentum and path of success that we have been on the past few years.
Three main areas of focus comprise the campaign: annual support to the Trine Fund for operations and annual scholarships; second to capital projects including the Ketner School of Business and an expansion to Best Hall of Sciences; and finally, perhaps the most important element, a focus on endowment.
As faculty and programs expand, investments will provide long-term support for their growth. The Invest in Excellence campaign's focus on endowment will underwrite the classroom experience for our students through scholarship endowments, while faculty salaries will receive enrichment from professorships and endowed chairs. New programs, such as physical therapy, will grow and excel, and as needs grow, our portfolio of programs will broaden.
We must also continue to nurture our campus facilities while we serve our students. Through the generosity of several key donors including namesake James R. Rinker, construction for the Rinker-Ross Memorial Center for the Sciences will begin soon.
We also believe physical fitness contributes to the wholeness and well-being of our students and society. Our Hershey Hall athletic facility, now over 40 years old, needs major renovation and expansion to support over 600 student-athletes, 21 NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Athletic teams, and staff, space and equipment necessary to serve them, and to provide fitness programs for our community.
On many essential fronts, Trine University is poised for expansion and even more success. Invest in Excellence will build strongly on established momentum to take the institution to the next level and to ensure our endowment for a strong legacy.
Your contributions directly impact our students, faculty, staff, facilities, overall campus community - and help to endow a legacy that breeds success. We have much work to do and we thank you for your current and future assistance and support.
