Student Accounts
While attending Trine University you will need to access various digital resources that require a username and password. We are currently working on making all accounts universal so that you will only have one username and password.
Note: Usernames may be the same, but passwords are mutually exclusive, changing a password on one system (Email) does not change it on another (MyTrineCourse).
Trine Network Account:
- Access: network resources, remote library resources, computer labs on main campus.
- Username naming convention: first initial middle initial last name
Example: John D Smith username is jdsmith - Password: Initally set to your date of birth in the following format: MMDDYYYY
- Difficulty Accessing?: call the Help Desk 260.665.4275. You will need your student id for verification.
Email Account: Trine University has now partnered with Microsoft Live to provide every student an email account and other features, for more information.
- Access: email, Your Space (Microsoft's social networking), SkyDrive (5 GB), photo album, messenger, and events
- Username(naming convention):
first initial middle initial last name@my.trine.edu
Example: John D Smith username is jdsmith@my.trine.edu - Password: Initally set to your date of birth in the following format: MMDDYYYY and you’ll be required to change it when you first login

TrineOnline
- Access: Trine course management system
- Username naming convention: first initial middle initial last name
- Password: your birthdate in MMDDYYYY format (We recommend you change the password under Personnel Information when you first login).

Online Registration
- Access: online registration for classes.
- Password: a pin is sent to your email account
