Course Reserve

RESERVE MATERIAL

Faculty may place books and other material on course reserve for their students to use. Use the search below to check the availability of reserve items, and check them out from the second floor of Sponsel Library.

E-Reserves

You may also request E-Reserves be prepared for use in Moodle. Due to copyright restrictions, it is necessary to inform the library before uploading any course reserves to Moodle.

Please submit E-Reserve requests through this form.

POLICIES

The normal loan period for course reserve materials is 2 hours.  Two-hours loans do not circulate outside the library but are still checked out to the borrower.  Your instructor may grant special permission to extend loan periods and for use of reserves outside of the library.

A reserve item may be renewed up to 4 consecutive times if another patron has not requested it.  Overdue fines for reserve materials accrue at the rate of $.50 per hour or $1.00 per day.

RESERVE REQUESTS

Course reserve requests, made before the last day of the current semester, will normally be filled by the first day of the next semester. We process requests in the order received.

All materials placed online must comply with U.S. copyright law and Trine University copyright policy.  Contact Kristina Brewer at brewerk@trine.edu for more information about copyright compliance.

For complete guidelines for placing and removing reserve material, access and circulation, and copyright compliance, refer to How Do I...? page.
