Instructor began teaching English in junior high

B.A., Master of Arts - Indiana University

I have been teaching English to non-native speakers since 1989. I worked as an English conversation teacher in a junior high/high school in Japan for four years, and then I moved to Paris where I was a student and a nanny for six months.

Since returning to the United States, I’ve taught English at several institutions in Northeast Indiana as well as volunteering as an English as a Second Language instructor for International House, a nonprofit organization in Fort Wayne, Ind.

When not teaching, I have been researching my family’s genealogy for about 15 years, and I love American football. I live in Fort Wayne with my husband, who is from Venezuela. He works diligently to teach me Spanish and salsa dancing; we enjoy long road trips together and we follow Formula 1 racing.
