B.S., M.P.A., M.A. Indiana University
As the dean of the Jannen School of Arts & Sciences, I am honored to carry on the proud tradition of excellence of the school. Prior to accepting this position, I was the chair and a faculty member in the Department of Criminal Justice, Psychology & Social Sciences where I worked to create an award-winning program. My experience in probation, corrections and law enforcement has led to a program grounded in theory and practical applications, with interesting courses in institutional corrections, criminal justice administration, and the always-popular serial killers.
I have coached the Trine American Criminal Justice Association chapter's handgun competition and crime scene teams to numerous regional and national titles, earning the 2008 Jim Hooker Outstanding Adviser Award.
After teaching at Concordia University, University of Cincinnati and Indiana University, I know the academic advising, class size, instructor interaction and campus life make Trine special! A Fort Wayne native, I live in Auburn with my three daughters, Alexandria, Elizabeth, and Emma. Last year, Peyton Manning, a chocolate lab, joined our family! He has become a wonderful athlete and great family pet. I also enjoy water sports, home projects and crime novels.
