Lake dweller with business savvy.
B.S. Indiana University; M.A.E. Ball State University
I began my career as a high school business teacher; drifted into corporate America for 25 years, working in management positions and later owning my own manufacturing company, and then found my way back to my roots.
As an academic advisor, I tend to get especially invested in my students. I enjoy being the faculty advisor for Alpha Sigma Tau sorority, and you'll often find me in the stands cheering on the Thunder at sporting events.
I've held local and state offices for Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc., a state philanthropic organization, whose purpose is to promote charity, culture and education. One of our major projects is making 4000 cheeseballs each year and selling them to provide money for scholarships.
I enjoy working in the yard, gardening, and always have a good book going. I attend Fairview Missionary Church, where I play synthesizer in the praise band and participate in several other ministries.
My husband recently passed away, so I'm still getting used to my new status. I adore my four children, their spouses, and nine grandchildren [all under ten years old!]. I am a Lake James "laker" and can often be found in the sun...floating or boating.
