Teaching is a second career after many years in the restaurant field, including restaurant ownership for four years. I enjoy cooking for family and friends.
During my 16–year teaching career, I have taught all elementary grades except kindergarten. I served as a mentor/teacher to new and struggling teachers, too. Most of my work has been in low–performing schools. I have taken an active role in turning around three failing schools, and am most passionate about that work.
I was born, raised and educated in California. My husband and I moved here in June 2012 when I joined the Franks School of Education. We are both Notre Dame fans and try to attend every game. We also like to travel and have visited many places. I′m always looking for life′s next adventure.
