My teaching is focused in the area of structural engineering and my courses taught include Bridge Engineering, Timber Design, Structural Steel Design, Structural Analysis, Solid Mechanics, and Statics. My academic experience includes eight years at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, where I taught graduate courses in structural engineering and advised master and doctoral degree candidates. A native of western Pennsylvania, I am a big Steelers fan, and I enjoyed playing football at Carnegie Mellon. An avid golfer, you may spot me at Zollner Golf Course. I also enjoy playing guitar (real and Guitar Hero) and singing karaoke. My family includes my wife, Yanawan, and four children, Ice, Aidan, Alex and Andrew. We like to take long walks / hikes so if you see us walking around campus please stop us and say “hello”.
