Eagle Scout and former Army officer thinks some engineers are geeks... and rightly so.
B.S., M.S., M.B.A. Michigan Technological University
I consider myself a geek, not in the derogatory sense, but more in line with my passion for technology. I started college (BSME) when personal computers had been around for a few years. My first PC was an IBM clone that cost $2,500. Now I own several computers, tablets and other devices. I am interested in the latest technology and how it can be used to improve our lives or help us procrastinate.
I came to Trine at the beginning of fall semester 2012 from Michigan′s Upper Peninsula. I enjoy teaching in the Allen School of Engineering, especially topics associated with manufacturing systems and sustainability. I believe in lifelong learning, and went back to graduate school after working for 16 years in industry.
I love spending time with my family (spouse Leah and dog Scout), playing puzzle/thinking games and serving in several organizations, particularly scouting.
