Fruit flies run in Park′s genes.
B.S. in Aquaculture - Pukyong National University, M.S. and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
I had early exposure to aquatic organisms through my father′s long career in fishery management, which led to my bachelor′s degree in aquaculture and doctoral degree in biological sciences.
My undergraduate and graduate student work involved enhancing fish productivity through genetic manipulation and studying gene expression and function in the fruit fly.
I like bringing my hands–on knowledge, experiences and personality into my interaction with students on an individual and lecture–style basis. Establishing a friendly, person–to–person relationship and developing good qualities in students are my other goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, water and snow skiing, and biking with my family. On Fridays, I play soccer with international students at Hershey Hall. I am a big fan of the soccer club, Manchester United.
