Ph.D. in higher education administration, University of Toledo
I have been a member of the Trine University faculty and administrative staff since 1980, when I began teaching as an adjunct professor in the education department. Since then I have served in many capacities: as associate professor in the School of Education, sports information director, assistant athletic director, women′s basketball staff, chair of the Health, Physical Education and Sport Science Department, dean of students and dean of the adult program.
I have always loved music, and took piano lessons from the second grade through college graduation. I majored in voice and minored in piano, and continued studying music throughout my graduate studies.
I also completed a minor in mathematics. I am an avid Chicago Cubs fan and love sports of every kind, but family is my greatest passion.
In 2009, I became a grandmother when my daughter and son–in–law presented us with a beautiful baby girl. Trying to keep up with my son, who loves adventure of every kind, keeps me on my toes as well. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me often of what is really important in life.
