Ryan Overton, transportation engineering expert, brings fun, professionalism to classroom.
B.S., Ph.D. University of Tennessee
Recently graduating and joining the civil engineering team in the Allen School of Engineering at Trine, I hope to prepare engineers of tomorrow through fun, yet professional instruction. Transportation engineering is my area of expertise with specific interests in traffic behavior modeling, human factor analysis and highway safety. I also have interests in construction engineering and engineering management.
I was honored to become a member of several honors societies at the University of Tennessee, including Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon. An active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, I participated in steel bridge and concrete canoe competitions. During graduate studies, I joined the Institute of Transportation Engineers and plan to establish an ITE student chapter at Trine.
I enjoy attending Trine sporting events and supporting student athletes. Overall, I′m an easygoing person who enjoys meeting people and doing anything outdoors or active.
