Associate Professor & Chair of the Reiners department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Guitar aficionado.
B.S., Ph.D. (Carnegie Mellon University); M.S. (Stanford University)
My teaching is focused in the area of structural engineering. In addition to teaching, I have enjoyed getting to know students as advisor to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Steel Bridge team and faculty advisor to the engineering fraternity Sigma Phi Delta.
My academic experience includes eight years at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, where I taught graduate courses in structural engineering and advised numerous master and doctoral degree candidates. This experience has helped me contribute to our growing graduate degree program here at Trine.
A native of western Pennsylvania, I am a big Steelers fan, and enjoyed playing football at Carnegie Mellon. An avid golfer, you may spot me at Zollner Golf Course. I recently shot a 79, so you better bring your "A" game. I enjoy playing guitar (real and Guitar Hero) and karaoke. My family includes my wife, Yanawan, and four children, Ice, Aidan, Alex and Andrew.
