Meet Dolores Tichenor

Trine University - Jannen School of Arts & Sciences

Dolores drives a convertible, travels the world and loves teaching probability. Her name is Tichenor. Dolores Tichenor.

B.S. Mundelein College; M.S. Purdue; Ph.D. University of Missouri Rolla

I love teaching probability and statistics every semester. I even taught it one summer in Malaysia. My hobby of genealogy led me to teach it three times as an honors seminar, and also led to my life of travel, beginning with my grandparents′ European villages.

I have the book "1,000 Places to See before You Die" and I′m checking them off! That love of travel was my inspiration to help our students travel during spring break with the honors seminars every year beginning in spring 2005. My 19th and 20th trips overseas this summer were to Sicily, Croatia and Slovenia.

When the weather is nice, you can find me driving my "cop magnet" bright red Pontiac convertible. One of my other hobbies is cross–stitching antique reproduction linen samplers. My goal is to complete enough of them so that I never need to have the walls in my house painted ever again.
