Meet Ed Bentley

Marine turned coach and bass fisherman.

B.S., University of Saint Francis

As a member of Trine University′s Men′s Basketball coaching staff since 2004, I assist in all aspects of the program including recruiting, scouting, assisting with the varsity team, and heading the coaching of our junior varsity team.

I also teach in the Health and Physical Eduction department in the areas of leadership and special education. Prior to my current position, I served in the United States Army and United States Marine Corps for 13 years. I was injured in the Marine Corps in 2002 and was forced to give up my 30 year dream career in the Marine Corps. Trine University became my new home!

A native of Southwestern Virginia, I developed a passion for the outdoors in my youth via hunting, fishing, and camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains. During my personal time, I love to go bass fishing. I can be found on any one of the 101 lakes in Steuben County on most weekends. I have a wonderful wife and two beautiful young boys, Cole and Carson.
