Transforming the minds of studentsB.S., Hebei University of Technology; M.S., Beijing University of Technology, University of Massachusetts Amherst; Ph.D., University of Massachusetts Amherst Transportation affects almost every aspect of a person's life. As a transportation engineering professor, I love to share my understanding of transportation with my students to help them develop the skill set to change the world we live in for the better. I joined Trine University in January of 2011 and love it here. Teaching is a learning process that can be continuously renewed, enriched and subjected to a force of innovation. My teaching interests include transportation operation, planning, control, design and safety. When I am not teaching, I spend most of time with my family and enjoy sports. My favorite sports are tennis, swimming and table tennis. I started learning golf very recently, and it's harder than I thought. My wife, Yidan, and I have a son, Richard. After living for four years in Massachusetts and six months in Mississippi, we moved to northeast Indiana and are happy to be a part of the Trine family and Angola community. |
