Meet Justin Young

Writer/Movie buff that lives for the creative arts.

Though students may know me from my passion for film, video games and for discourse on new media, I must admit to always considering myself first and foremost a writer.

Whether it be scripting the films and cartoons I direct, or penning a satirical blog or comic strip — I find writing drives my work. My films and writing have been featured in various publications, ranging from College Sports Television to der Spiegel in Germany.

I′ve presented at a variety of conferences, including Southern States Communication Association and American Culture Association, on a variety of topics, ranging from the use of religious allegory in secular media to reaction to news coverage following Hurricane Katrina among different student racial groups.

While I enjoy my outside creative endeavors, I find myself at Trine because of my love for teaching.
