Steigmeyer leads new SPS
Lou Holtz leadership program
ANGOLA, Ind. – A Fort Wayne professional is the new director of the Lou Holtz Master of Science in Leadership (MSL) Program for Trine University's School of Professional Studies.
Nancy Steigmeyer began her duties in early July.
"We're pleased to have Nancy lead this progressive program named in honor of Lou Holtz, a distinguished university trustee and visionary leader who's known for coaching Notre Dame's football team," said Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., Trine president. "The Lou Holtz program teamed with Nancy's skills is sure to offer even more options for those seeking to enhance their leadership skills."
Mersiha Alic, dean of the School of Professional Studies (SPS), agrees. "Her leadership experience and professional contacts are sure to be valuable to our adult learners and an asset to the program."
Steigmeyer earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Institute of Technology. She has been in higher education for the past four years as an adjunct instructor and director of career services. The majority of her career has been in leadership roles in employer services and human resources.
"Every day I am eager to build upon the current momentum of the Lou Holtz MSL Program at Trine, because it is continuously evolving," Steigmeyer said. "I am currently focused on adding new areas of concentration to meet the needs of students in the markets we serve."
"I have seen a lot of master-level programs in the area. I am eager to share the Lou Holtz MSL program information in my professional network and through new relationships with business leaders where Trine's nine education centers are located. The diversity of this program, its accelerated nature, and work-ready applications make it a stand-out option for individuals in multiple professions," Steigmeyer said.
Trine's SPS operates regional campuses in Fort Wayne and South Bend, Trine Virtual Campus and education centers in Angola, Columbus, Indianapolis, Logansport, Schererville and Warsaw, and in Sturgis, Mich.
