24-hour marathon uses new media
to raise money, awareness for local pets
Trine University students will use new media to raise awareness and funds for the Steuben County Humane Society. The 24-hour video game marathon will be live-streamed on the Internet for all to see.
Students in the class of video games: art, culture and history of a medium class are staging the event that begins at noon Friday, April 17 and runs through noon Saturday, April 18.
“This event showcases the changing media landscape for those in journalism and new media while also helping a great cause,” said Justin Young, class instructor. “It combines a professional learning experience with fund a doing good.”
