Tickets on sale for country rock show

Country rock group Parmalee will bring its bluegrass, traditional country, southern rock and blues roots to the stage next month at Trine University.

Parmalee, known for its multi-week No. 1 smash “Carolina,” will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Ryan Concert Hall, T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

“Carolina” made history when it became the longest climbing single by a duo or group in the 24-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. The single was also recently certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for more than 500,000 in sales.

Parmalee’s debut country album, “Feels Like Carolina” earned critical praise from People, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsday, Billboard and more. The debut single, “Musta Had a Good Time” was voted No. 1 for four consecutive weeks on SiriusXM’s “Hot 30 Live” countdown and became a Top 40 hit on mainstream country radio.

Other achievements include being named a 2013 “Bubbling Under Artist” by Billboard magazine, a semi-finalist nod for the Academy of Country Music’s “New Artist of the Year” award and a 2014 Teen Choice Award nomination for “Choice Country Group.”

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at or at the Furth Box Office from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Ticket prices range from $15 to $25.
