Trine saves mathematics exam for 2015

In a first, Mother Nature seems to have won the 40th Annual High School Mathematics Competition at Trine University.

With snow, wind and cold forecast for many of the areas from which high school competitors would be traveling, the Department of Mathematics, Informatics, & Cybersecurity has chosen to cancel the 40th Annual High School Mathematics Competition scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 5. The event was first set for Jan. 29 and was delayed because of inclement weather.

"We will save the exam for next year and look forward to the competition on Jan. 28, 2015," event organizers reported Monday. Registration is set to open Dec. 1.
