Drama Club staging "The Wager"
March 10, 2010--The Trine University Drama Club will present the adult comedy, “The Wager,” on March 25-27 at 7:30 p.m. in Wells Theater.
In the Mark Medoff play, Ward, a physical education graduate student, bets his roommate, Leeds, a sarcastic graduate student, that Ward can seduce Honor, the wife of Ron, a young professor. But Leeds has also wagered that if Ward is successful, Ron will make an attempt on his life within 48 hours. As the situation’s complexity increases, Leeds manipulates self-centered Ward, bored Honor, and bumbling Ron while becoming further entrapped in his own schemes.
Making up “The Wager” cast will be Eric Boone, chemical engineering major from Carmel, Ind. as Ron; Dan Ehinger, biology major from Richmond, Vt. as Ward; Jay Reeves, a math major from Greenfield, Ind. as Leeds; and Libby Wentz, chemical engineering major from Toledo, Ohio as Honor.
The show will be directed by Dan Wiehe, a computer engineering major from Fort Wayne, Ind., and he will be assisted by stage manager Fred Amstutz, a mechanical engineering major from Greenfield, Ind.
