Trine offering Burmese language classes in Fort Wayne

Trine University will offer Burmese language classes for adults at its Fort Wayne Regional Campus, beginning later this month.
Burmese for Law Enforcement Part I will be offered each Tuesday from March 27 to April 24 from 6-9 p.m. The deadline to register is Friday, March 23. This beginning class focuses on developing working knowledge of the Burmese and communication skills for law enforcement personnel. Those who attend will learn Burmese language skills for conducting traffic stops and field interviews and responding to domestic situations and crime scenes.
Burmese for Emergency Responders Part 1 will be offered each Thursday from March 22 to April 19 from 6-9 p.m. The deadline to register is Friday, March 16. Designed for firefighters, paramedics, EMTs and other responders, this course will train students to handle basic Burmese-language responses .
Burmese: Customer Service Part 1 will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 27 to April 26 from 6-7:30 p.m.
Trine University is an LETB registered training provider. Classes cost $99 each, and discounts are available.
