Trine honored by Angola Chamber
University receives Member of the Month award
The Angola Area Chamber of Commerce named Trine University its April 2009 Chamber Member of the Month for its T. Furth Center for the Performing Arts project. The center will preserve a landmark church while providing a premier arts education facility and performance hall for regional and national productions. The university unveiled plans for the center through two open houses this spring.

Angola Area Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Rumsey presented Trine University President Earl D. Brooks II with the award on Monday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the chamber office in downtown Angola.
The chamber makes the award to businesses, organizations, and individuals based on outstanding contributions to the Angola area. “The chamber considers this unique learning environment an innovation for the community, and we look forward to its completion,” Rumsey said of the T. Furth Center.
