University hosting first all-female visit day

Sometimes interaction with like-minded people can enhance self-discovery.

Trine University realizes the strength pre-professional people can draw from each other and from people who have already traveled a career path. With that connectivity in mind, Trine is offering its first annual Women’s Visit Day Friday, Oct. 17.

Prospective students can attend breakout sessions in Trine’s new student apartments, where representatives from academic, career services, financial aid, student life, and safety offices will acquaint them with the services the university can provide its students. A panel by Trine students and alumnae will provide a picture of university life and its preparation for career success.

The visit day will include a chance to discuss Trine athletic possibilities with coaches over lunch in Whitney Commons. Campus tours centered upon a student’s chosen school of study will ground them in the campus geography and amenities.

To sweeten the pot, Trine will open the visit day with flavored coffees, hot chocolate and pastries to enjoy during registration at Witmer Clubhouse, and provide dessert stations at session sites in the afternoon.
