Trine bridging language gap
Offering ESL Transition Program
Trine University now offers an ESL Transition Program for international students to prepare them for direct entry to the university’s undergraduate degrees. The two-phase International Study Center program combines academic modules with study skills and English language training.
Trine’s ESL (English as a Second Language) Transition Program is offered by Study Group USA and is designed for international students who want to attend Trine University, but do not have the required English skills or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores to gain direct entry into the programs.
Students can prepare for a wide choice of subjects leading to a bachelor or graduate degree in engineering and technology, business, arts and sciences, and education. The program will begin in January 2009.
Trine University’s ISC students will benefit in a variety of ways. By living and studying on campus, they will integrate fully into student life and have access to all facilities and services. Earning a degree will be simplified because they can expect a high level of personal academic monitoring and support. An exciting mix of learning activities, small class sizes, and books and materials at no additional cost are other pluses.
